Our centenary year is drawing to a close and The Steamie will be the final show for us in 2024. The Steamie is a wonderfully funny drama written by Tony Roper. Set in a Glasgow steamie (a public wash house) four women do their last loads of laundry for the year. They share memories, have a laugh, sing some songs (and even have a little tipple). It’s a brilliantly written nostalgic play, one that is ever popular with Scottish audiences.
Our director, Jane Campbell (a Glasgae girl herself) is looking forward to bringing this one to life. Her cast and crew are hard at work. Tickets are proving popular with some nights sold out already. Due to popular demand we have decided to run an additional night, Tuesday 26 November. Tickets for this night will also be the cut price of £8 since it is now our new opening night.
