A stage full of weapons! Deathtrap

Another successful play for DDS. Deathtrap played to almost full houses and the audiences loved it. The twists and turns kept them guessing and the actors did an amazing job of bringing their characters to life. This has been an amazing play to direct. One of our shortest rehearsal periods and we smashed it out of the park.

The tech crew came together to bring Sidney’s handsomely converted stable to our small stage – we made walls full of weapons, a blood pumping garrotte, a crossbow, fake blood, a fieldstone flickering fireplace and of course a lump of fake foam wood. I’m just so glad we have such creative members, and of course it helps to have our own theatre, with costumes and set dressing galore!

Casting for first play of next year (OUR CENTENARY YEAR) is taking place next week. Blithe Spirit kicks off our centenary celebrations.
