New Members

New Members Night – Thursday 24th February 2022 from 7pm

At The Little theatre (ring the bell at the stage door)

We will be running monthly new members nights, which will be advertised here – so if you want to find out more about our society and meet our members you are welcome to come along.

The evening will involve watching the first half of one of our rehearsals. Afterwards there will be a tour of the building, and then we will move through to the bar area where you will have a chance to meet and chat with our current members and find out if we are the society for you.

What’s it like?

Being a member of an amateur dramatic society can be time intensive, but also hugely rewarding . Whether you are performing onstage, or helping backstage, you have the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and make new friends.

We perform four plays a year (usually each play has 7 performances over a 2 week period). We rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings with one work/technical night a week. We also hire out the theatre to other societies and performers and our members provide front of house cover for those nights.

Being a member of our Society is about more than the plays we perform. Owning our own building and hiring it out means we have other responsibilities too, not least maintaining the building so we can continue to entertain for many years to come.

If you are over 18, and would like to join us at Dundee Dramatic Society, please come along to one of our new members nights. You can contact us by email or call 01382 225835 after 7pm on Tuesday or Thursday.
